A dog town that isn't on the map
Houndwick is hound plus wick, the Old English word for a settlement: the ending in Chiswick and Hackney Wick. Dog town. A neighbourhood that doesn't exist, except it does, every morning and every night, on every block where someone is waiting at the door with a leash.
City dogs don't get one long hike. They get three or four short walks: down the stairs, across the crosswalk, round the block and back, often in the dark. We make the gear for exactly that walk, and the treats for the pocket.
The harness goes on at the door. The piping shows up in a headlight. The treats have an ingredient list of one word.
One colourway, on purpose
Every piece comes in Hydrant: red webbing, reflective silver piping, black hardware stamped HW. The harness, leash and collar match without a second thought, and new colourways will arrive as new pieces, not as a wall of swatches.
